Piano Trio is a modular work for piano, violin, and cello. The piece rethinks established hierarchies in areas such as temperament, structuring principles, and the relationships between performers, notation, instruments, and composers. It employs a flexible modular structure, while also embracing physical properties of the instruments and the agency of performers.
